0.25  Welcome to the show.

1.25  In business, managing your time effectively is enormously important. How much do you delegate? How do you manage your clients and can you crunch five days of work into three and a half days?

3.36  Reach out to your clients after midday. Segment your early mornings so you have “me time” and try not to book appointments when you know you traditionally require family time. Flexibility is important but so too is prioritising and tightening your calendar.

5.49  Many business owners struggle with fluidity. When you’re on that raft, you have to work with the ebb and flow of the daily workstream. Don’t be static; you need to shift and adapt.

7.10  Inside the boundaries of the pandemic, how are you focusing on your business? Nick advises you to push forward as hard as you can and be the competitor that everyone is trying to catch. It’s all about perspective – whether you’re locked down and online Melbourne… or pivoting in hospitality in Sydney.

9.00  Focus on a new model. Nothing will ever be the same in business again. Nick parallels accepting industry change in the hospitality and the entertainment sectors, including the way restaurant owners modify menus and musicians adapt their talents to teaching online. Adapt what you do by changing your perspective.

11.00  Keep your head occupied. Make yourself some real, achievable goals – personal as well as professional.

12.00  Have you dared to look 12-24 months into the future? Model adaption is vital when you can no longer count on sales projections.

14.15   Get serious about what’s ahead because this global crisis that has changed everything as we know it.

One hundred years from now industries around agriculture, fast food and transport will be unrecognisable. Change is coming.

16.25  What do you really want from your business? An accumulation of wealth or secure happiness? Was greed ever good?

19.55   Where are your priorities in the greater picture? Consider what are you chasing and the eventual outcome.
