Show Notes

0.25  Welcome to the show.

1.26  Purpose! It is vital in business that you have defined goals or a greater reason to go forward with clarity. What pushes you every day to do your best?

2.00  Nick discusses the importance of having an “adjustable purpose”. In his own life, Nick analyses why certain pursuits are irresistible – from a fascination with Samurai to studying, he connects his years as a toolmaker, his experience in the Wellness sector and 20+ years as a musician.

5.40  Purpose and potential are bed-mates. Mind, heart and spiritual body will unlock potential. Nick talks dedication and process. If the purpose is not shared, it is generally an unknown entity. You need to share in order to achieve!

8.00  What happens when your purpose does not intersect with your passions? Consider that your work IS your purpose! If you’re uninspired with your present gig, the work itself should present as your purpose via the process.

Chris suggests a greater purpose can be found outside your nine to five. How can you define your purpose  – both professionally and personally? Can one influence the other?

12.45  Should purpose provide a level of fulfilment? Absolutely! Ask yourself the internal questions and break down those self-                    realisations. In business, avoid this process at your own peril.

14.35  Your purpose should be ever-changing. Do not allow you or your goals to become stale.

15.00   Lead generation. What is the best lead generation for a service-based business? How do you show someone what you do?

Can you dangle a metaphorical carrot? Nick talks trades and hospitality plus how value-added extras can help “share” your purpose in a service-based industry. How do you leverage your expertise?

19.00  Nick’s cash flow tips are legendary. Take 10 percent of your money and pay yourself first (it’s a good place to start!) Then determine how much cash flow you need per month, and thirdly start the process of saving that cash flow.

You can change your model by changing the saving pattern! Do you have the discipline to create and maintain reserve accounts?
